Hey guys! After our two week holiday I’m back home and ready to take on life.
Our biggest focus over the past two months has been Japan. I spent most of March prepping for the trip and most of April actually on the trip. It’s been fun, but I have to say I’m looking forward to focusing on other things in the upcoming months.
In the meantime, here’s a bit of an update on what else has been going on over the past two months…
Japan! Matt and I had so much fun travelling around Tokyo, Osaka, and some of the smaller cities in Japan [read all about it here and here]. It was by far one of the best trips I’ve ever been on, full of unique experiences and the BEST food.
Something That’s Been On My Mind
Re-visiting my New Years Resolutions. I’ll be honest, I started March with the best intentions, but then didn’t follow through. By mid-March I decided to just take a break all together and not worry about them.
The problem is that I love setting goals so much that I overload myself. Taking some time off allowed me to identify what my priorities are so going forward I know exactly where to focus my time.
Books I’ve Been Reading
Currently working my way through The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. I was actually putting this one off because it was such a thick book, but now that I’ve started I just can’t put it down! If you’re looking for a good read I would definitely recommend picking up this one.
A Few Links I’m Loving
After weeks of EXTREME cold in February, all I’ve been thinking about is spring. But after all that cold, I’d kind of forgotten how to dress for it. This post has some great tips on what key pieces are perfect for a spring wardrobe and exactly how to wear them.
For the past few years I’ve been looking for ways to lessen my footprint on the planet, but lots of the advice I’ve come across has been really difficult to apply to my life. But this post from The Everygirl that has some great tips that are super easy for almost anyone to incorporate into daily life.
A few weeks ago I came across this post on how to incorporate acids into your skin care routine. I’ve only recently started using acids, and I found this post really helpful because it went over what types of acids are used in skincare products and exactly how to layer them into your current routine.
What I Can’t Live Without Right Now
My Pura Skin Care products. A good friend of mine introduced me to Pura last fall. I was a bit reluctant to try yet another skin care line, but I immediately noticed a huge difference in my skin. Not only do their products actually work, all of Pura’s products are earth-friendly, nutrient-rich, non-toxic, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. Plus, they are based out of Edmonton!
The products I use regularly are the Princess Clementine Daily Face Cream, Neroli Eye Ritual Restoritive Under-Eye Oil, and Exotic Pink Coffee Dust Cleansing Exfoliation Mask.
