So, exciting news. Matt and I FINALLY booked our vacation this summer!
And this year we are doing something totally different.
Every year for the passed three years, we’ve saved all of our holiday time and put all of our bonus money towards going over to Europe. Our first trip was in 2015 when we spent two weeks city hoping through Germany, France, and Spain. We got engaged shortly after that, but soon realized that we did not want a big wedding. After a couple months of looking at our options we ended up putting most of our wedding budget towards a trip to Italy instead [#noregrets]. And last fall we headed back in Europe and spent a couple weeks exploring The Netherlands, Belgium, and Iceland.
But as much as I love discovering new cities and soaking in the European culture, the downside of all the Europe trips is we are totally missing out on all of the cool things Canada has to offer. And to top it off, we live in Edmonton which is about 3 hours away from the mountains. Thousands of people come here from all over the world to explore the places that are literally right outside our door. So this year, we are leaving our passports at home, loading up the car, and taking a two week road trip across British Columbia [and to be honest I’m actually a lot more excited about this then I ever thought I’d be].
So for the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on making a bucket list of cool places to stop and explore, fun trails to hike, beaches to photograph, and natural hot springs to visit between here and Tofino, BC. And since I love making lists so much, I figured I might as well make a bucket list of everything else I’d like to do this summer.
